Two Face – My First Real Benchrest Rifle

I have reached a milestone that is probably small to many of you and doesn’t mean much but to me its a big deal. This is my first ever benchrest rifle built around a lonestar action. I was having a bit of regret to be honest after I started seeing not so great comments about the action but we proceeded.

I still can’t believe this thing shot this way for the first time with SK Pistol Match and trying to use the Purdy Model for tuning, NO FINE TUNING. Why SK Pistol? I have a few bricks of of the same lot and felt if I could get it tuned, I would have enough on hand to shoot it with the tuned lot for a while.

Let’s just say with all the negative comments about Lonestar ejection problems rough bolts does not exist in this build because the smith took his time and did this one right.
