Deadly Explosion At Military Ammunition Plant

An explosion rocked an Army ammunition plant on Tuesday in Missouri, leaving one person dead and four others injured, the service said.

The incident occurred on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at a “mixing building” at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri, according to Justine Barati, director of public and congressional affairs for Joint Munitions Command.

There were 4 injured and 1 killed. The 4 injured were evaluated on site and refused any additional help. Unfortunately Mr. Lawrence Bass was killed from the explosion in the primer mixing cell plant.
