Worlds Largest 1911 Accuracy Test With A Ransom Rest

Charlie was very fond of video’s that gathered data. Charlie is no longer with us and I wanted to dedicate these 1911 video’s to my Marine Brother. On a Wednesday, March 29, 1911 The iconic 1911 Pistol was adopted by the U.S. Army, then Later in 1913 by the Navy and the United States Marine Corps. Despite the 1911 having been largely retired from military use, it is still a very common sight on the range and in shops across the U.S. and shows no signs of disappearing any time soon.
How Test Are Conducted
In this series of videos, I will be testing the accuracy of 1911 from 20 yards away using a Ransom Rest.
1) I will fire 8 shots using my own handloads 230gr hardball standing from 7 Yards away.
2) Fire 8 shots from the Ransom Multi Caliber Rest, my own handloads from 20 yards away.
3) Fire 3 handloaded rounds for settling then the last 5 shots of Factory Ammo from 20 Yards away using the Ransom Rest.
Though the ammo may actually changed down the line. The Federal HST has gone up 8 dollars a box since I last purchased the stock I have.
